About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop new business in assigned territory
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and sales leadership
- Identify and pursue target strategic markets and clients
- Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships
- Support sales initiatives by providing client relationship support
- Develop and execute lead generation
- Collaborate with team to identify opportunities and execute growth strategies
- Oversee negotiation of contract process
- Perform market research and analysis
- Evaluate operational issues
- Monitor external and internal environment for new market segments
- Support the development of marketing campaigns
- Assist in developing an evaluation process for client feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background in business development, sales, or marketing
- Working knowledge of the power/energy industry
- Thorough understanding of electrical power systems and associated equipment
- Ability to leverage all aspects of market channels including EPC, ESCO’s, Utility Companies, Developers, Engineering Companies, End-Users, and Equipment Manufacturers
- Experience understanding customer needs and business drivers
- Strong leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of urgency
- Ability to manage time and prioritize workload independent of direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively in and across teams
- Cultivate business development opportunities through effective competitive and market analysis
- Ability to foster and build strong working relationships
- Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills
