About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervising the entire survey team
- Recommending facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs
- Overseeing technical, legal, and financial issues of the survey department
- Determining program objectives and requirements
- Developing standards and guidelines
- Delivers a comprehensive set of surveying and mapping services to clients
- Uses creativity, foresight, and mature judgments in problem-solving
- Sets priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests
- Directs, controls, and supervises survey work and survey crews
- Mentors and shares skills with less-experienced staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ Years
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Licensed Land Surveyor in California (preferred) or relevant experience
- Obtain licensing as required for project support
- Member of professional practice organization, national board member or officer, recognized expert on statewide activity, resource for national activities and organization (recommended)
