About the role

  • Development of complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems, including AC one-line and three-line diagrams, DC schematics, logic and functional diagrams, panel layouts, interconnection diagrams, relaying equipment specifications and bill of materials
  • Development of SCADA packages, including input / output list, and SCADA setting files
  • Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, engineering technicians, and less experienced engineers
  • Developing, nurturing and maintaining trusted relationships with senior level engineering, managers, and executives with current or prospective clients
  • Confidently and comfortably present technical solutions to key customers respond in real time to technical concerns and answer questions in a knowledgeable articulate manner
  • Direct and/or participate in client meetings/job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data
  • Perform/Ensure company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are been follow on all design packages
  • Delegating, planning, prioritizing and reviewing the work of other engineers will be critical

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (not engineering technology program)
  • A Master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree
  • Ten (10) or more years of electrical engineering experience is required
  • Experience in protection and control engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer registration or plan to become registered is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required
  • Must have strong analytical and computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Possess to ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of support personnel
  • Strong commitment to customer service and care
  • Highly motivated "self-starter"
  • Proven multitasking skills
