About the role
- Own the project portfolio for the highest priority product roadmap initiatives.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of technical project managers; mentor, coach, and develop talent.
- Define and scale agile/hybrid delivery frameworks tailored to a fast-paced SaaS environment; establish PMO operating cadence including sprint planning, roadmap reviews, retrospectives, and risk assessments.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Customer Success teams to align priorities, track milestones, and remove blockers.
- Provide regular portfolio reporting and partner with engineering operations to define and operationalize scrum level reporting needs.
- Proactively identify project risks and dependencies, drive mitigation plans, and manage scope changes with clear stakeholder engagement.
- Align project resources to strategic priorities and influence product and business strategy as part of Product Unit leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical project or program management, with at least 5 years in a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams, including managers or senior ICs.
- Deep understanding of modern software development life cycles (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and how to adapt practices at scale.
- Proven experience managing large cross-functional programs involving engineering, product, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Strong technical fluency to engage with engineers on architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling PMO practices in high-growth or scaling environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or PMP/SAFe certification is a plus.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Aha!.
- Experience leading globally distributed teams.
- Background in cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience supporting InfoSec, compliance, or regulatory-driven SaaS platforms (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
