About the role
- Communicating with customers through various channels including telecommunications, social networks etc.
- Receive inbound calls from customers to interact with them and identify their needs and/or issues
- Follow set communication guidelines in addressing the needs and problems faced by customers
- Place outbound calls to current and prospective customers to promote new products and/or services
- Identify the products and services that best meet customer’s needs
- Follow up with customer to close sales, answer questions, and explain services
- Seize opportunities to upsell products when they arise
- Maintain a courteous and friendly disposition when interacting with customers irrespective of their temperament
- Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets
- Build a positive work relationship with customers to enhance the image and public perception of the company
- Ensure call records are properly stored and organised in a call centre database
- Oversee the processing and implementation of orders, applications and forms submitted by customers
Requirements
- CAPE/Associate Degree, with CSEC Maths and English at grade 2+
- Possesses basic computer skills and software application use
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, flexibility, and dependability in all workplace activities
- Ability to stay calm and de-escalate situations when customers are stressed or upset
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organisational skills
- Strong, consistent work ethic with excellent time management
- Ability to negotiate and persuade with a polite and disciplined approach
- Previous experience in a “sales driven” call centre environment and customer service
