About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate closely with fellow data engineers and cross-functional teams to build and maintain a solid data infrastructure.
Build, scale and maintain cloud-based robust data solutions crucial for long-term strategy and operational success.
Identify key data needs and translate them into effective and scalable solutions.
Write the required ETLs/ELTs from scratch to help build an effective Data Warehouse.
Maintain pipelines with Dagster to ensure that daily/weekly executions run smoothly and without errors.
Establish sanity checks to catch data anomalies in any pipeline and/or data warehouse as early as possible.
Continuously improve data processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud-based databases: Redshift and AWS RDS.
Strong Python skills and any related packages for data analytics, transformations, APIs and AI/ML.
Proven ability to build and maintain ETLs/ELTs, ideally using dbt or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with modern data stacks: Fivetran, Hightouch, DBT, Dagster and cloud services.
Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
Experience with modern orchestration tools such as Dagster.
A proactive and self-driven mindset, with a passion for solving complex problems through simple, scalable solutions.
Ability to manage projects independently and take ownership from start to finish.
Shows strong leadership potential and navigates challenging situations with a thoughtful approach.
Strong communication skills when interacting with internal clients and stakeholders.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and adapting to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice-to-have experience with RAG solutions: vector databases, LLMs and data curation flows.
