About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software development and Machine Learning professionals
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee ML, telemetry, automation, and data‑pipeline engineering activities
- Manage engineering capacity, performance, and sprint commitments
- Oversee ML models, telemetry pipelines, automation workflows, cloud infrastructure and environmental logic
- Guide design and implementation of integrations (Influx, Redis, CX Alloy, Oracle/ServiceNow, SCADA APIs)
- Champion coding best practices, reproducibility, validation, and observability
- Maintain engineering documentation and enforce production‑readiness standards
- Collaborate with teams across QTS such as FacOps, QTSOS, Facilities, EHS, SCADA/Network teams
- Align engineering deliverables with business priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience
- US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
- 5+ years in ML, data pipelines, backend engineering, or systems integration
- 2+ years leading engineers
- Experience deploying ML or data‑driven systems to production
- Strong architectural and system‑design experience
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, APIs, distributed processing
- 8+ years in ML, data pipelines, backend engineering, or systems integration (preferred)
- Experience with telemetry/SCADA‑adjacent systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with Influx, Grafana, Redis (preferred)
- Experience with cloud‑based (AWS) ML workflows or model governance (preferred)
- Ability to triage issues across data, ML, and infrastructure (preferred)
- Strong documentation and communication skills (preferred)
