About the role
- responsible for leading the execution, and management of corporate sourcing initiatives for a variety of direct or indirect categories that build and sustain our data centers
- facilitate sourcing & other cost optimization opportunities to generate cost savings and risk mitigation for category spend under management
- negotiate complex/competitive programs, owning enterprise agreements, and communicating to line of businesses the value propositions of teams assigned category groupings
- support Sourcing Specialists & Project Managers on their team where support is needed to deliver business goals
- collaborate on process improvements and strategic initiatives with the Director to support QTS goals and initiatives
- partner with Data Center Infrastructure Fit-Out and Data connectivity teams to develop and execute world-class supply chain strategies
- support facilities management procurement strategy in partnership with the development, sourcing, and operations procurement teams to enable success for facilities operations
- develop supply chain strategies that optimize spending, minimize risk, and ensure the successful delivery of capital projects within budget and on time
- maintain day-to-day supplier relationships, act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues
- support negotiations of commercial cost reduction opportunities and provide analytical support for Total Cost of Ownership models used to support sourcing decisions
- identify and implement system solutions and best practices that optimizes indirect sourcing and procurement work practices
- drive value through innovation and collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal customers
- coordinate Facilities’ purchasing activities across national portfolio of data centers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply-Chain, or Engineering
- Seven or more years of relevant experience in Sourcing, Procurement, and/or Supply-Chain
- Three or more years leading a procurement sourcing team
- Experience in contract development, execution, negotiation, and management of vendor relationships more than $50M in annual value
- Demonstrated ability to lead through action
- Skilled in building relationships with key stakeholders to gather category requirements, specifications from departments, and category subject matter experts
- Experience executing long range sourcing plans for assigned categories to reduce total costs, optimize value from suppliers, and meet internal customer requirements
- Demonstrated company-wide procurement performance within one or more indirect categories or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Procurement certification (e.g., ISM CPSM) preferred
- MBA, Master of Supply Chain preferred
- Experience working for or supporting a data center provider (multi-tenant data center, hyperscale user, or equipment provider) preferred
