About the role
- Lead legal support for hyperscale customer negotiations, including data center leases, build-to-suit agreements, and colocation agreements.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Development, Operations, and Executive leadership to structure and negotiate transactions.
- Manage outside counsel when specialized expertise or additional resources are required.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
- Ensure compliance with internal contract policies and risk management standards.
- Support vendor contracting related to hyperscale developments as needed.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
- Six or more years of experience as a lawyer working in contract negotiation, real estate, lease negotiation, and/or corporate law.
- Hands-on, self-starter who is disciplined and detail-oriented.
- Excellent listening, written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn ERP systems.
- Strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), Box and DocuSign.
- Excellent analytical, time-management, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
