About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events and activities in various format
  • Support the wider operational delivery of the University of Birmingham's recruitment activity across China
  • Collaborate with key University departments including China Recruitment Team, Birmingham Global China, and UK-based recruitment colleagues
  • Manage event budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Source, negotiate with and manage vendors for event-related services
  • Evaluate events through feedback and data analysis
  • Prepare and present regular reports to management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Advanced-level English language skills
  • Proven experience in events planning and management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong project management and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet moving deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
