About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert legal advice on data privacy, regulatory compliance, and contractual/Tech-related legal issues.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our privacy compliance programs, secure the maintenance of our certifications and ensure adherence to GDPR and other applicable laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including technology licenses, vendor agreements, customer terms, and data-sharing agreements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively advise stakeholders on the potential impacts and required actions.
- Assist the Compliance officer on regulatory monitoring, financial crime compliance and any other topic that would need legal support.
- Support DPO in her mission, including: Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with data protection laws (such as GDPR) across the company.
- Handle Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and respond to privacy-related inquiries.
- Manage Personal Data Breaches and their reporting.
- Prepare transfer impact assessments (TIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and data protection risk evaluations to ensure privacy-by-design and data protection.
- Conduct DD assessments of third parties and service providers.
- Collaborate with various departments in order to update the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Help in reviewing and drafting data processing agreements, privacy notices, and other legal documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data protection initiatives and awareness campaigns.
- Stay up to date with changes in data protection laws, and the EDPB guidelines and help update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Maintain, update, and issue all required privacy policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries and managing reporting obligations.
- Develop and conduct internal training sessions on legal compliance and privacy best practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a Bachelor’s law degree or a Master’s in law & technology or data protection.
- Having 1-2 years of previous professional experience working on privacy matters or within DPO departments
- Having a CIPP/E, CIPM certification or any equivalent certification is a plus.
- You are fluent in English and any other EU language
