About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee fraud management, risk control, and compliance operations.
- Define risk appetites, build and optimize risk models, and ensure trademark protection.
- Manage a team of specialists to mitigate fraud/security/financial/compliance risks on Platform Ecommerce.
- Actively identify signs of fraud and implement countermeasures promptly.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to build, evaluate, and optimize rule-based models or risk scoring/behavioral models.
- Leverage data and analytical tools to detect fraud patterns and propose actionable preventive measures.
- Establish a framework for audits to review the effectiveness of models, processes, and policies.
- Detect and mitigate trademark/IP infringement issues on E-commerce platforms.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve violations and enforce compliance.
- Lead projects related to Fraud, Risk, or Compliance when expanding into new products or markets.
- Act as an internal advisor on risk management and fraud prevention strategies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience in Fraud Management / Risk / Compliance, preferably in E-commerce, Fintech, Payment, or Cross-border trade.
- Strong knowledge of fraud detection, KYC, payment risk, order review, and trademark/IP compliance on Ecommerce platform.
- Proficiency in data analysis (SQL, Python, Power BI) and fraud monitoring tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g. Fraud Risk Management, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), FRM, CFA, Cybersecurity) would be advantageous.
- Experience in risk management at e-commerce/platform companies (Shopee, Grab, Be, Shopify, GHTK, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Previous experience in team management is a plus.
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
