About the role
- Lead architecture and implementation for LaunchDarkly feature flag platform on AWS
- Implement feature flags, progressive rollouts, A/B testing, zero downtime deployments and full automation
- Support deployment patterns across APIs, EKS, OnPrem, Lambdas, Kafka, Glue, RDS, S3 and other AWS services
- Integrate CI/CD with GitHub Actions, dynamic runners and golden path pipelines
- Implement observability with Grafana, Splunk and DORA metrics; enable automated rollback and root cause tracking
- Deliver self-service pipelines, RBAC, audit trails and governance for end-to-end feature flag lifecycle
- Achieve expected outcomes: pilot 5 teams, enterprise adoption with 5 patterns by Nov 2025, 99.9%+ deployment availability, 99%+ reduction in change failure rate
Requirements
- Prior experience leading LaunchDarkly implementation and rollout at large scale
- Deep AWS expertise (EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Glue, Kafka, OnPrem integrations)
- Implement blue/green and canary deployments, progressive rollouts, and automated rollback
- Experience with GitHub Actions, dynamic runners, CI/CD automation and golden path patterns
- Knowledge of feature flag systems (server-side and client-side toggles), A/B testing, traffic segmentation
- Observability and metrics integration (Grafana, Splunk, DORA metrics)
- Security and compliance: RBAC, audit logging, secure artifact storage, vulnerability scanning, privacy compliance
- Scalability and resilience practices: multi-region, multi-tenant, chaos testing, fault injection, RTOs
- Self-service enablement, onboarding/migration support, and role-based access governance
