About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote Thermal Interface Material (TIM), EMI, absorber, magnetics components, and Multi Functional Solutions at customer sites
- Work with OEM, ODM, and CM engineers, distribution partners, and cross-regional teams to implement Laird solutions
- Coordinate internal resources to provide quick-turnaround solutions for customers' engineering, design, and application challenges
- Drive new business development with the regional commercial team through technical support
- Support exhibitions and other marketing promotion activities
- Travel extensively within Southeast Asia to provide on-site customer support
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in thermal management and/or EMC engineering
- Experience across data centre, telecom, automotive, industrial, and medical segments
- Experience in TIM selection and qualification, including thermal pads, phase change materials, thermal grease, and liquid gap fillers
- Experience applying EMI materials, including fabric-over-foam gaskets, absorbers, magnetic shielding, conductive foils/tapes, precision metals, and board-level shields
- Familiarity with ASTM, IEEE, MIL-STD, and other industry-standard thermal and EMI material test methods
- Experience or knowledge in material characterization, application dispensing, automatic assembly, and failure analysis preferred
- Knowledge of 3D modeling, thermal analysis, EMI simulation/testing, and finite element analysis is a plus
- Ability to keep work skills up to date in a dynamic global business environment
- Ability to present technical findings clearly to engineering peers and management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Ability to work on Salesforce CRM and track project progress
