About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work safely in an R&D environment, actively participate in company safety programs.
- Generate and maintain documentation in electronic databases and laboratory notebooks for the safe and productive operation of equipment and tools.
- Perform polymer chemistry and analysis (e.g. cloud point titration) to support new product development.
- Operate advanced analytical characterization techniques, including SEM/EDS.
- Generate high-quality analytical data and provide clear, actionable insights through reports and presentations.
- Design and execute experiments in collaboration with scientists to support product development, customer issues, and manufacturing challenges.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Field Service, QC) to solve complex technical problems.
- Proactively identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Utilize statistical tools (e.g., JMP) to support data-driven decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, material science, or related field
- Developed strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SEM/EDS as well as analytical techniques specifically related to polymer chemistry (e.g., cloud point titration)
- Possess a track record of working with a Safety oriented mind set
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems with strong attention to details
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
- Basic to advanced knowledge and usage of statistical methodology and related software (JMP)
