About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work safely in an R&D environment, actively participate in company safety programs.
  • Generate and maintain documentation in electronic databases and laboratory notebooks for the safe and productive operation of equipment and tools.
  • Perform polymer chemistry and analysis (e.g. cloud point titration) to support new product development.
  • Operate advanced analytical characterization techniques, including SEM/EDS.
  • Generate high-quality analytical data and provide clear, actionable insights through reports and presentations.
  • Design and execute experiments in collaboration with scientists to support product development, customer issues, and manufacturing challenges.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Field Service, QC) to solve complex technical problems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize statistical tools (e.g., JMP) to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, material science, or related field
  • Developed strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SEM/EDS as well as analytical techniques specifically related to polymer chemistry (e.g., cloud point titration)
  • Possess a track record of working with a Safety oriented mind set
  • Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems with strong attention to details
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
  • Basic to advanced knowledge and usage of statistical methodology and related software (JMP)
