About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for working with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners and Territory Sales Managers to implement Laird solutions
- Regularly attend customer meetings and provide technical design support while simultaneously building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Present design solutions to customer, utilizing modeling and simulation during presentation
- Drive customer interactions, prototype, and initial production build to meet stakeholder timelines
- Originate and release final production documentation, detailed with critical dimensions and tolerances required for a functional part
- Manage and direct a project through a product development design team consisting of multiple engineering disciplines
- Keep work skills current to insure Laird competitiveness in a dynamic global business environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical field
- 6+ years experience in a relevant position
- 3+ years experience at the component level or subsystem level design
- 3+ years experience in thermal management, EMI management, or microwave absorbers
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with solid-modeling software, such as Solidworks
- Understanding of Finite Element Analysis or Finite Difference numerical modeling techniques
- Good communication skills with the demonstrated ability to present from small to large audiences
