About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for working with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners and Territory Sales Managers to implement Laird solutions
  • Regularly attend customer meetings and provide technical design support while simultaneously building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Present design solutions to customer, utilizing modeling and simulation during presentation
  • Drive customer interactions, prototype, and initial production build to meet stakeholder timelines
  • Originate and release final production documentation, detailed with critical dimensions and tolerances required for a functional part
  • Manage and direct a project through a product development design team consisting of multiple engineering disciplines
  • Keep work skills current to insure Laird competitiveness in a dynamic global business environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical field
  • 6+ years experience in a relevant position
  • 3+ years experience at the component level or subsystem level design
  • 3+ years experience in thermal management, EMI management, or microwave absorbers
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with solid-modeling software, such as Solidworks
  • Understanding of Finite Element Analysis or Finite Difference numerical modeling techniques
  • Good communication skills with the demonstrated ability to present from small to large audiences
