About the role
- Analyze SQL query performance for Java and COBOL applications
- Write and propose improvements to SQL queries with an emphasis on performance
- Proactively monitor application performance in the development environment
- Recommend data modeling changes aimed at improving performance
- Perform data loads between environments using administrative tools
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree or postgraduate degree in IT
- Understanding of the operation of the systems relevant to the role
- Experience in relational database modeling with a focus on performance
- Strong experience with DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, Oracle and CA IDMS databases
- Knowledge of programming languages, with emphasis on COBOL and Java
- Experience using database tools for DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, SQL Server and CA IDMS
- Experience in projects involving large-volume data processing
