About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and operate core cloud platform components
Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and develop custom Kubernetes operators
Write production-grade Go and Python code for platform services and automation
Improve reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure
Strengthen observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics
Automate operational workflows and platform integrations
Collaborate closely with Platform, Regions & Clusters, and Features teams
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system hardening
Continuously reduce KTLO and operational overhead through engineering improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE-adjacent roles
Strong proficiency in Go and Python, or deep expertise in one with willingness to work regularly with both
Solid experience running Kubernetes in production
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation practices
Comfortable participating in on-call rotations and managing production incidents
Ownership mindset and clear communication skills
Experience building Kubernetes operators or control-plane components
Background in SaaS, database, or systems-level product companies
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tooling
Familiarity with networking, load balancing, or service meshes
Contributions to open-source projects
