Engineering Manager

• Lead and scale a distributed engineering organization across core database infrastructure, cloud platform, and developer experience — owning hiring, culture, and team design
• Partner with the leadership team on product roadmap and architectural decisions, translating company strategy into executable engineering plans
• Drive reliability, performance, and velocity across Qdrant's core engine, Qdrant Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, and emerging products like Cloud Inference and Qdrant Edge
• Establish engineering excellence: code quality standards, incident response, observability, and the operational rhythm needed to run a production database at scale
• Work closely with Product, Developer Relations, and Customer Success to ensure engineering efforts are tightly aligned with the needs of Qdrant's developer community and enterprise customers
• Define and own the engineering hiring plan to meet aggressive growth targets, with a focus on Rust, distributed systems, and ML infrastructure talent
• Champion a culture of rigor, ownership, and craft — the kind of culture that builds a custom storage engine from scratch because the off-the-shelf solution isn't fast enough

VP of Engineering

Full-stack Engineer

• Design and evolve core platform services and internal APIs consumed by multiple teams
• Drive architectural initiatives such as gRPC migration, eventing/pub-sub foundations, and platform refactors
• Own and improve control-plane and cluster-api components
• Build platform abstractions that reduce operational and cognitive load for other teams
• Write production-grade Go code for platform services and internal tooling
• Collaborate closely with Regions & Clusters, Resilience, and Features teams to enable delivery through platform primitives
• Improve platform scalability, reliability, and developer experience through thoughtful design

Staff/Senior Software Engineer – Platform

Platform Engineer

• Build internal tools and services that power Qdrant Cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation and platform components using Go and Python.
• Design systems for cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, and infrastructure automation.
• Improve Kubernetes automation through controllers, operators, and infrastructure tooling.
• Design solutions that reduce operational toil and eliminate manual infrastructure work.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of the cloud platform.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on system architecture and automation.
• Participate in incident response and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Continuously improve the internal platform used to operate Qdrant Cloud.

Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Platform Infrastructure

Operations

• Own visibility into cloud unit economics, including COGS, gross margin, and contribution margin by customer and usage pattern.
• Translate infrastructure metrics into revenue, margin, and pricing impact.
• Build and maintain cost allocation models per customer, ideally automated and easy to trust.
• Develop real-time dashboards that connect usage, infrastructure cost, and profitability.
• Create alerting and reporting for margin degradation and cost anomalies.
• Support pricing decisions for new features, product changes, and packaging evolution.
• Model the cost impact of variable customer workloads and changing usage behavior.
• Build forecast models for growth scenarios, including “what happens at 10× scale?”
• Support enterprise deal modeling and commercial discussions with clear margin insight.
• Help create a repeatable operating system for pricing and unit economics across teams.
