About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with IT to design, build, and maintain automated bi-directional API integration between Rippling and Deltek Vantagepoint
Architect and implement automated multi-jurisdiction sales tax compliance workflows using Avalara and Vantagepoint
Audit timesheet and expense workflows and drive the optimal system-of-record approach
Capture employee “Work-In” locations at the timesheet level and synchronize the data with Rippling for accurate payroll tax withholding
Troubleshoot integration errors and data discrepancies
Identify inefficient processes and replace them with streamlined automated solutions
Standardize project numbering conventions and Chart of Accounts groupings across entities
Build SQL-based and Vantagepoint-native reports and Power BI dashboards
Partner with Finance leadership on reporting and consolidation requirements
Manage Vantagepoint user IDs, security roles, permissions, workflows, approval hierarchies, and notifications
Provide day-to-day Vantagepoint support and manage enhancement requests
Document configurations, integration architecture, and standard operating procedures
Scope, plan, and execute ad hoc technical and process-improvement projects
Document project outcomes and transition new processes into standard operating procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience administering Deltek Vantagepoint or a comparable project-based ERP in a multi-company environment
Experience designing and implementing multi-jurisdiction Work-In location tracking at the timesheet level and syncing it to Rippling
Advanced SQL skills and experience building custom reports within or alongside Vantagepoint
Working knowledge of Chart of Accounts design, project numbering standards, and data mapping for multi-entity consolidation
Experience managing system security, user roles, and workflow configuration within a Deltek ERP environment
Strong project management skills for multiple concurrent, high-priority technical initiatives
Track record of identifying inefficient processes and driving measurable ERP efficiency gains
Excellent communication skills for translating technical requirements to Finance, Payroll, and HR stakeholders
Ability to handle occasional large-scale, one-time system initiatives
Hands-on expertise with API integrations between Deltek Vantagepoint and third-party HRIS/tax-engine platforms preferred
Rippling and Avalara experience strongly preferred
Fiscal year-end conversion or similar one-time ERP initiative experience is a plus, but not required
Power BI proficiency, including dashboards from Vantagepoint back-end database tables, strongly preferred
Ability to travel up to 5%, potentially to any or all 50 US states
