About the role

  • Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, accreditation, bidding, awarding & contracting
  • Lead sourcing initiatives and invite possible vendors for accreditation (S&P)
  • Analyze trends and opportunities to identify savings opportunities
  • Lead supplier performance surveys and provide overall assessment
  • Lead audit activities applicable to Procurement process
  • Drive suppliers compliance to the PO terms (PPP) and conditions
  • Ensure bidding process integrity at all times (PPP)
  • Support initiatives to drive procurement processes, improve vendor management and reduce risk
  • Maintain good relations with vendors and keep up-to-date with vendor offerings (EA/CF)
  • Organize and participate in product presentations by the suppliers to the interested end-users
  • Support supplier performance evaluations and document end-user comments regarding supplier supplies and services
  • Review submitted purchase requests and check completeness & compliance
  • Organize invitation to bid, purchase orders and contracts that captures all the necessary details and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and analyze overall canvass summary and recommendation
  • Negotiate with vendors regarding the prices and relevant terms

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 8 years relevant experience
  • High degree of numeracy & attention to details
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with end-users and vendors
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel and stay in Cebu for urgent Procurement matters
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office software
  • Trainings in Procurement-related functions a plus but not required
  • Ability to benchmark from other Shared Services Industry, BPOs or other industries when applicable
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) with superiors, colleagues, suppliers and staff
  • Good presentation skills.
