About the role
- Support the monitoring and analysis of DLP events using enterprise security tools to identify potential data loss incidents.
- Support investigation of incidents related to data leakage or policy violations and escalate as necessary.
- Assist in refining detection rules and improving alert quality through feedback.
- Maintain clear, concise and timely documentation of all events and actions taken including incident findings, root causes, escalation reason, and remediation steps.
- Collaborate with team members and peers to ensure consistent and effective incident handling.
- Support user education and awareness initiatives regarding data security best practices.
- Stay updated on data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and industry trends.
Requirements
- Some experience in a cybersecurity, IT security, or compliance role.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, or data protection technologies.
- Basic knowledge of networking, endpoint security, and data classification.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or equivalent) preferred.
