About the role

Perform pricing calculations to assist relevant business units in managing a profitable business
Support the work of more experienced actuaries/pricing specialists
Carry out assignments or projects, performing actuarial analyses, investigations, modelling
Specify, build, direct and check development of code base for data preparation
Utilise complex computer modelling techniques to complete actuarial research and analysis
Demonstrate general understanding of business unit and impact of actuarial or pricing advice

Completed university studies and on the path to obtaining Actuarial qualifications
Working knowledge of the general insurance industry
Knowledge of linkages between monitoring, reserving, pricing and different drivers of profitability
Ability to analyse, interpret and extrapolate data from multiple sources and resolve complex issues
Ability to communicate complicated concepts verbally and in writing in a simple, professional manner
Proficiency in commonly used actuarial and pricing software packages, including SAS and Python
Bachelor's Degree in actuarial or mathematically focused area
