About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Verification of client’s insurance information.
- Upon admission to our program, determines what clients’ medical assistance status is. Identifies which clients need to apply and follows through with entire application process.
- Transmit client’s 3rd party payer information to pharmacy, lab and other outside providers for credits and/or adjustments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in Medical Office preferred
- Medical terminology and computer experience necessary
- Must be able to comprehend the pertinent instructions for complying with state and federal guidelines
- Office organization, time management and problem-solving skills
- Diplomacy, flexibility and telephone etiquette
- Excellent business English skills and familiarity with business formats and principles for correspondence and files
- Basic math skills
- Excellent typing skills
- Attention to detail.
