About the role

  • The Senior Supply Chain Specialist - Procurement will be responsible for the supervision of timely, accurate and safe execution of corporate, expenditure and fuel purchasing and logistics operations.
  • Working in coordination with onshore located technical and operational departments and acquisition units in operation.
  • Ensure that purchasing requirements are carried out in accordance with the Company Management System Procedures and process.
  • Support corporate functions in Houston and Dubai, alongside additional requirements in other locations.
  • Assist with Bunker provider contracts and negotiation of Fuel rates as required.
  • Developing and managing commercial agreements and relationships.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and negotiate quotation with regards to commercial and contractual issues and obtain Technical, Maritime and Procurement manager approval.
  • Prepare and place corporate and expenditure purchase orders with awarded and approved suppliers on the APL (Approve Vendor List).
  • Analyzing scope of supply and contract agreements, carrying out supplier risk analysis, introducing and applying negotiation recommendations (where required).
  • Supplier selection based on quote negotiation (commercial, payment terms, price reduction, delivery time decrease)
  • Prepare Non-Conformities Report (NCR) based on performance and quality of vendor, Purchase Order/Service Order (category management tendering).
  • Vendor Management and Local vendor management process (based on country of operations)
  • Ensure Expediting Worksheet and Agent Feedback Report are up to date using Procurement System and distribute on weekly basis.
  • Keep documents (Certificates from PO’s up to date regarding Purchase Orders)
  • Systematically file all documentation related to purchase orders (physical / electronic files).
  • Develop, establish, and maintain good relations with all suppliers.
  • Fulfill their assigned responsibilities as part of the Emergency Response team in line with the Emergency Response Plan and duty list as required.
  • Monitor and escalate noncompliance to Company procurement processes. Set up, under the direction of the Head of Supply Chain, and monitory archives, databases, standard documents, and other materials used by the Procurement department.
  • Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
  • Coordinating department activities relating to procurement across the ERP System.
  • Assisting in the execution of the Supply Chain Strategy for Supply Chain.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Head of Supply Chain on areas for improvement.
  • Act as the escalation point day to day for the team on operational problems, progressing for solution or decisions on more complex matters to Head of Supply Chain.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient operation in all procurement activities.
  • Operate as the focal point between the suppliers, agents and forwarders through close co-ordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline from four-year college or university required.
  • More than 5 years of experience of Supply Chain including international procurement and logistics, preferably within the seismic or oil service business.
  • Good understanding of business operations, the operational needs, and the role of Procurement to accomplish these needs.
  • Knowledge of the Supply Chain information systems.
  • Internal Auditor certification holder
  • English is mandatory, verbal and written (Excellent Level)
  • Ability to work under pressure, perform and deliver to demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask in a challenging environment.
  • Knowledge of documentation related to import, export, transport, custom clearance etc. will be an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP-systems.
