About the role
- Align client data strategies with business strategy and advise on cloud data platforms
- Assist clients in choosing platforms, defining data needs and migrating to modern cloud data environments (Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Teradata)
- Lead and deliver cloud data architecture, data integration, storage and processing solutions
- Contribute technical knowledge and act as subject matter specialist on data architectures/tools/solutions
- Lead ideation and development of accelerators/prebuilt solutions and GTM strategy for industry-specific offerings
- Organize and lead teams, plan and size engagements using onsite/offshore delivery models
- Mentor and develop team members; monitor workloads and provide candid feedback
- Participate in sales support, client training, and industry events
- Travel extensively to client sites (up to 80%)
Requirements
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 9 years
- Certification(s) Preferred: Certification in one of the following cloud platforms - AWS/Azure/GCP
- Experience with modern cloud data architectures and engineering for AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience implementing cloud data architecture and data integration patterns (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, etc.)
- Experience with storage and processing platforms (Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Infrastructure as code experience (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (normalization, OLAP, OLTP, Vault data model, graphs, star & snowflake schemas)
- Project management experience organizing and leading teams including Big data engineering (Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Kafka)
- ETL pipeline development experience (IICS/AWS Glue/SAP BODS/SSIS/SnapLogic)
- Preferable P&C Insurance data warehouse experience
- Knowledge of file and object-based storage solutions (Azure ADLS 2.0, AWS S3)
- SQL proficiency and report generation using Tableau/Power BI/Cognos
- Programming experience in Python and Spark
- Experience improving advanced analytics, AI/ML models and operationalizing with MLOps
- Experience with Master Data Management, Data Governance and Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (Kubernetes/Docker)
- P&C Insurance industry experience and understanding of Guidewire products (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter)
- Prior Big 4 or strong consulting experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 80%
