About the role
- Supporting the design and implementation of programme governance and programme management strategies
- Assisting in rolling out leading practice programme management services like benefits realization, quality assurance, decision management, document management etc.
- Working with and presenting to senior programme leadership within large scale programmes
- Delivering and/or assessing large complex programs or projects
- Supporting Managers with responses to client proposals and drive impactful conversations with senior client leaders
- Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty
- Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
- Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations
- Develop a perspective on key global trends, including globalization, and how they impact the firm and our clients
- Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
Requirements
- Significant hands on experience in Programme Management and Project Assurance of large Transformation projects
- Proven experience supporting implementations of large complex system/transformation initiatives
- Confident with implementing or performing project assessments, programme gateway reviews, risk-based reviews
- Involvement within Public Sector (Municipal, Provincial, or Federal)
- Certified Project Manager (PMP, PMI PMBOK, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP, MoR, Agile, or Benefit Realization)
- Understanding of core project management process area (IT governance, quality assurance, or SDLC), project management software/tools, and/or ERP or industry specific applications
- Self-motivated to begin and continue tasks committed to achieving project goals
- Ability to effectively negotiate, problem solve, and influence through verbal and written communications
- Ability to present reports to and negotiate findings with senior stakeholders and executive management
- Fluent in French and English would be an asset
