About the role
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of external audit engagements tailored to private clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Manage and mentor audit teams, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality and efficiency throughout the audit process.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with private clients, understanding their unique business structures, financial reporting needs, and risk profiles.
- Identify and assess financial and control risks, developing appropriate audit strategies to address client-specific challenges.
- Provide clients with practical and insightful advice on financial reporting, governance, and regulatory requirements relevant to private entities.
- Drive continuous improvement by embracing innovative audit methodologies and technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address complex audit issues and deliver client-focused solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in external audit, preferably working with private clients or owner-managed businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop audit teams, manage multiple engagements, and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence senior stakeholders within private client businesses.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements applicable to private entities.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and business challenges to provide effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying audit findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
