• Oversee the daily news operation, ensuring editorial consistency and excellence across desks, formats and platforms
• Manage the daily editorial workflow, including scheduling, assignments, and production timelines across formats and platforms
• Work closely with senior management to shape the company’s editorial agenda, tone, voice, coverage priorities and long-term strategy
• Contribute to strategic planning to improve editorial processes, workflows, and storytelling approaches
• Develop and maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and publishing is timely and relevant
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of editors, journalists, photographers, producers, and other editorial staff
• Serve as a senior editor, editing news across formats and working closely with journalists to refine voice, clarity, and impact
• Review and approve sensitive, investigative, or high-stakes content before publication
• Coordinate with the creative, digital, IT, and marketing teams to support the packaging, promotion, and presentation of stories for reach and engagement
• Manage editorial staffing and budgets, including resource allocation, onboarding, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance newsroom culture
• Ensure all editorial content upholds the highest standards of accuracy, legal compliance, and ethical journalism
• Provide regular reports on editorial performance, team output, and departmental goals
• Perform any other duties assigned by management, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the company
