About the role

  • Join Purse as an AI Engineer at the heart of our payment infrastructure
  • Designing and deploying production models is the core of the role
  • Identify high-impact AI use cases — fraud prevention, conversion optimization, merchant scoring — and address them with appropriate models
  • Ensure their production deployment under robust and scalable conditions
  • Analyze transactional run data with statistical rigor: trends, correlations, anomalies, friction points
  • Design and maintain a robust, scalable data infrastructure
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand functional requirements
  • Co-develop use cases with Product teams and present results to non-technical stakeholders without compromising rigor

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering
  • Production experience (not just notebooks); you have deployed models running in production
  • Interest in payments or finance domains, even without direct experience
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL — your everyday tools
  • ML techniques & generative AI: familiar with fundamentals and recent advances
  • Proficient with PyTorch for model development and training
  • MLOps and CI/CD concepts: you know how to industrialize a model, not just build it
  • Strong knowledge of GCP and its ecosystem: BigQuery, Dataform
  • Solid foundation in statistics: probability, inference, modeling
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Proficiency with at least one data visualization tool: Tableau, Power BI, Toucan Toco, or equivalent
