About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build scalable, performant front-end applications using React and Next.js on AWS
  • Make decisions about component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and browser compatibility
  • Participate in planning meetings to understand product goals and user needs
  • Shape and verify technical requirements, identifying risks and trade-offs
  • Own features from conception through production, including building, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Ensure front-end system stability and performance through monitoring, debugging, and resolving production issues
  • Improve build times, bundle size, and runtime performance
  • Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams across the full stack
  • Maintain technical documentation on architectural patterns, decisions, and system behavior
  • Lead code reviews and mentor engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
  • Broad technical knowledge across backend, infrastructure, and databases
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Deep proficiency in React and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and modern front-end patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Next.js and AWS
  • Ability to lead code reviews and mentor engineers
  • Ability to articulate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience optimizing front-end systems for performance and scale
  • Ability to write high-quality code and deliver features end-to-end
  • Ability to design scalable front-end systems and identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks
  • Comfort with cross-functional collaboration and making sound decisions under ambiguity
  • Breadth across the full technology stack and comfort with diverse technologies
