About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build scalable, performant front-end applications using React and Next.js on AWS
Make decisions about component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and browser compatibility
Participate in planning meetings to understand product goals and user needs
Shape and verify technical requirements, identifying risks and trade-offs
Own features from conception through production, including building, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Ensure front-end system stability and performance through monitoring, debugging, and resolving production issues
Improve build times, bundle size, and runtime performance
Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams across the full stack
Maintain technical documentation on architectural patterns, decisions, and system behavior
Lead code reviews and mentor engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional front-end development experience
Broad technical knowledge across backend, infrastructure, and databases
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Deep proficiency in React and JavaScript/TypeScript
Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and modern front-end patterns
Hands-on experience with Next.js and AWS
Ability to lead code reviews and mentor engineers
Ability to articulate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience optimizing front-end systems for performance and scale
Ability to write high-quality code and deliver features end-to-end
Ability to design scalable front-end systems and identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks
Comfort with cross-functional collaboration and making sound decisions under ambiguity
Breadth across the full technology stack and comfort with diverse technologies
