About the role
- Continuously monitor and assess the quality of data across various cloud systems.
- Develop and maintain data quality scorecards, reports, and dashboards.
- Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and inaccuracies, and work with data engineer, data management and business owners to correct any issues.
- Define and implement data quality rules, standards and processes to improve the quality of critical data assets.
- Work with data management and business teams to resolve data quality issue and ensure data is certified for consumption.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring data quality problems and recommend corrective actions.
- Utilize tools (e.g., Atlan) and programming skills (SQL, Python) to automate data audits, cleansing and validation.
- Recommend and implement automation solutions to streamline data quality monitoring and validation.
- Work closely with data stakeholders in the business to ensure data quality standards are met.
- Participate in cross-functional data quality improvement projects.
- Identification, development, and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Quality Metrics KPI’s and data metrics.
- Interpret data and analyze the results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports on the effectiveness of different strategies and observe any trends or issues to raise with leadership.
- Understand, adhere to and enforce all corporate policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or other relevant field or sufficient experience in the same or related role or equivalent experience.
- 2 years’ experience in data quality, data analysis, or data management roles.
- Strong knowledge of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools
- Experience working within cloud environments, data warehouses, and leveraging programming skills (i.e., SQL, and Python)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business, technology and data teams.
- Strong Understanding of RDBMS concepts and extensive hands-on experience w/ Structured Query Language (SQL) for Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server and Snowflake databases.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment;
