About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate the customer’s communications needs and propose appropriate solutions.
- Install video products, routers, switches, TVs and cables for Internet connection.
- Deliver customer training on video relay services and Purple products.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Manage sales opportunities through the process to close.
- Provide onsite and remote support after installation of products and services.
- Develop a network in the local deaf community and solicit referrals.
- Maintain appropriate account and territory records using Salesforce.com.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.
- In-depth knowledge of the Deaf Culture.
- Strong technical skills with an understanding of the Internet, firewalls, routers, modems, switches, and hubs.
- Prior installation experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must live within commuting distance of a Purple office location or work from a local home office equipped with high-speed Internet.
- Must have a personal automobile and valid driver's license.
- Must be able to travel extensively by car and occasionally by air in assigned region.
- Prior experience in a sales or customer support role is a definite plus.
