About the role
- Own Pure’s Data Analytics solutions from concept to execution and sustaining
- Define and execute the solutions roadmap through strategic collaboration on solution direction, design, development, validation, documentation and evangelism
- Develop technical documentation including reference architectures, best practices, white papers, and solution briefs
- Showcase Data Analytics solutions in lab environments for field and partner enablement, customer POCs and demos
- Present solutions to customers, partners, and internal teams translating technical details into business value
- Partner with engineering, product management, field architects, professional services and marketing to drive market growth and roadmap alignment
- Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging, presentations, and technical content highlighting business value
- Plan, outline, publish and own the document lifecycle of Data Analytics & Engineering solutions
- Collaborate with field teams to understand Enterprise customer challenges and deliver practical solutions
- Work collaboratively within a team and cross-functionally to achieve goals and drive innovation
- Communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written forms tailored to audience
- Manage multiple priorities and tasks ensuring timely and effective delivery of projects
Requirements
- Experience in the real world building, deploying and managing Data Analytics technologies, Data Pipelines, Data Engineering, ELT/ETL, Data Transformation, Data Lakehouses, Hadoop, etc.
- Platform Expertise: Snowflake, Starburst, Dremio, Apache Spark, Airflow, Redshift, Looker
- Storage Proficiency: understanding of block, file, and object storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, S3)
- Platform Knowledge: on-prem and hybrid-cloud platforms (Nutanix, VMWare, OpenShift, Kubernetes), public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solution Architecture experience building, designing, validating, troubleshooting and documenting comprehensive Data Analytics solutions
- Technical Marketing Skills and ability to communicate value to buyers, influencers and decisionmakers
- Performance Optimization knowledge of I/O protocols, pathways and tuning practices
- Understanding of emerging trends in vectorization, data engineering and analytics
- Understanding of large scale Data Analytics environments and Enterprise Customer issues
- Systems Engineering Knowledge: Linux, Bash/Python scripting, IP Networking
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for performance issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in database architecture, Data Analytics solutions, and related technologies
- Proven ability to execute on strategies and deliver high-quality solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present to both technical and executive audiences
- Demonstrated adaptability to learn new technologies and respond to evolving needs
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced setting with minimal supervision
- Expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies
