About the role
- Define and execute overall business strategy for assigned global automotive accounts aligned to Pure Storage goals
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance sales team to achieve bookings and forecast accuracy
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven pipeline and forecasting analysis
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align sales strategy with product and customer initiatives
- Provide change management and oversight for the extended Pure Storage team aligned to accounts
- Hold team accountable to challenging goals while anticipating market trends
- Communicate with leaders including C-suite to build trusting relationships and align business objectives
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for long-term account success
- Oversee financial performance of accounts including budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Act as primary client advocate within Pure Storage to ensure high levels of service
Requirements
- Operationally sound, accomplished, and highly motivated with strong background in managing and leading teams
- Strong, established business relationships at the executive level
- Proven leader of direct and globally matrixed teams with 7+ successful years of global field sales management
- Experience working and selling into the Tier 1 Automotive industry
- Experience running large revenue streams ($100M+) and closing large, single deals with Global Enterprise customers
- In-depth technical knowledge of Pure’s portfolio and ability to create holistic business solutions
- Ability to create business cases using data and business acumen
- Credibility, influence, and ability to scale up and down a customer’s organization
- Ability to navigate global accounts and understand internal dynamics quickly
- Dynamic leadership: able to alternate between player and coach to drive results
