About the role
- Establish, influence, and drive learning technology strategy and roadmap
- Identify and implement learning technology solutions, tools, and platforms
- Stay abreast of and pilot emerging technologies
- Rapidly prototype, build, and deploy learning technology solutions while measuring impact
- Translate business and user needs into clear requirements and coordinate between stakeholders and technical teams
- Consult on use of learning technology solutions and gather technical and user experience requirements
- Design, implement, and continuously maintain/evolve learning technology solutions and experiences
- Lead operations for reports and dashboards of user activity, compliance, quality and effectiveness
- Automate team processes and provide day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of existing tools and technologies
- Serve as thought leader and consult with internal learning teams to share best practices
- Partner with functional stakeholders and external groups to ensure end user needs are met
- Provide technical advice and manage integration of technology into learning experiences
- Identify and oversee improvements of current learning infrastructure and plan project priorities
Requirements
- BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 8 years experience in learning & development organization and managing complex projects involving learning technologies
- Knowledge and experience evaluating, implementing, administering, managing digital technologies, learning experience platforms, learning and content management systems, assessment/evaluation tools, and multimedia/authoring tools
- Experience evaluating learning technologies, use case/requirements documentation, and performing research
- Previous experience working in a technical support and/or customer support organization is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate with others with a positive attitude
- Background in instructional design, microlearning, simulations, virtual reality, augmented reality, self-paced and video-based learning
- Expert project/program management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert change management skills to drive adoption and ongoing improvement
- Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to try new methods, tools, and processes to improve learning experiences.
- Experience with leading projects for an entire group or department, or a major piece of a larger cross company product or project.
- Deep expertise in variety of learning technologies - LMS, LXP, CMS, third party training vendors apps, authoring and publishing tools, web strategy and much more
- Experience using data collection, research, and analysis to evaluate project outcomes and improve individual and organizational performance.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.
- Strong knowledge of of SCORM, xAPI, and AICC standards
- Significant experience working where customer satisfaction is paramount in a service delivery care environment
