About the role
- Lead and manage the Japan Partner Technical Managers (PTM) team while serving as PTM for strategic partners.
- Act as technical advisor, evangelist, and strategic collaborator to enable channel partners.
- Build and execute annual operating plans, coach team, and guide Partner Portal Content Manager and Technical Enablement staff.
- Design and execute technical and sales enablement programs for products (FlashArray, FlashBlade, Portworx, etc.).
- Represent Pure Storage at partner events and industry forums in modern infrastructure, AI/ML, and DevOps.
- Align with Sales, Systems Engineering, Partner Account Managers, and Channel leadership to drive partner strategies and feedback.
- Support partner-led opportunities through the sales cycle and monitor partner enablement progress and business impact.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership with proven ability to grow and mentor technical teams.
- Communication skills both in Japanese and English.
- Balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Technical expertise across storage, compute, networking, databases, virtualization, and emerging areas like AI/ML and cloud-native applications.
- Strong collaboration skills in a global, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
