About the role

  • Lead building and maintaining native Android applications for major sports clients
  • Shape architecture decisions and deliver new features end-to-end
  • Collaborate with designers on bespoke UIs and integrate complex third-party data APIs
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team-wide knowledge sharing
  • Drive technical standards and best practices across mobile, backend, and frontend teams
  • Ensure apps are fast, stable, and deliver great user experiences

Requirements

  • Solid experience building and shipping Android apps using Kotlin
  • Experience with Kotlin Multi-platform Mobile (KMP) or strong interest in learning it
  • Familiarity with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with Room, sqlite3, Gradle, Firebase, RESTful APIs
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Bitrise & Jenkins) and testing strategies
  • Experience with testing tools: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Mockk, Maestro, SonarQube
  • Comfortable designing scalable architecture and integrating third-party APIs
  • Strong understanding of Android SDKs, system architecture, and performance optimization
  • Ability to mentor others and support team-wide knowledge sharing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, PMs, and clients
  • Passion for delivering quality code and maintainable systems
