About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional clinical support through established standards and practices
  • Coordinate efficient and safe patient care by collecting information, rooming patients, and assisting with or performing designated procedures
  • Coordinate direct patient care, information gathering, and transitions of care
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of patient care within the PRH model
  • Establish communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, and community members
  • Plan and prioritize patient care plans and daily clinic work
  • Interview patients and caregivers to assist in the patient care plan
  • Document patient care conversations, care provided, and other work in the EMR
  • Coordinate care for a defined patient panel
  • Make decisions based on professional judgment within the legal scope of practice
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Train, demonstrate, or guide others, including new staff and medical assistants in training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Maintain licensure in good standing acceptable in the State of Washington
  • Active BLS (basic life support) certification
  • Ability to perform required technical skills for a medical assistant
  • Ability to perform required technical skills for the specific clinic
  • Ability to learn and adapt to technology
  • Ability to initiate and participate in activities enhancing clinic and organizational operations
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong typing skills
  • Ability to read and write clearly and understand policies, labels, and written instructions
  • Ambulatory clinic experience is a plus
