About the role

  • Directs and manages processes and activities of medium-risk electric infrastructure projects
  • Manages and executes projects with clearly defined scope, coordinating multiple internal and external customers
  • Coordinates and communicates tasks with Engineering, Real Estate, Environmental, Permitting, System Planning, and Energy Resources
  • May draft medium complexity contracts, monitor contracts and contractors
  • Responsible for schedule and budget development, management and forecasting
  • Facilitates communication between service providers and internal customers and provides technical assistance
  • Gathers, consolidates and analyzes facts related to project requirements and reports on progress
  • Supports emergency response work as requested and performs other duties as assigned
  • Upholds safety compliance standards and promotes a culture of total safety

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • At least four years relevant work experience including managing simple projects
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge and experience in scheduling, estimating, accounting and finance principles
  • Basic knowledge in project management discipline to manage multiple simple to medium complexity projects
  • Customer-oriented, positive, collaborative attitude and flexibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline (desired)
  • Experience managing small projects or programs (desired)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (desired)
  • Ability to write clear, concise and direct narrative and reports (desired)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills (desired)
  • Negotiating and critical thinking skills (desired)
  • Knowledge of utility budgeting, procurement and contract administration (desired)
  • Advanced Project Management Training and Project Management or Construction Management Certification (PMI or College) (desired)
