About the role
- Implement, upgrade and support hybrid infrastructure solutions to enable client collaboration and reliable modern IT infrastructure
- Deliver high-quality technical solutions on time addressing business challenges
- Prepare clear, accurate documentation to support implementations and client knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders and clients to deliver projects and support requests
- Travel to client sites as required to support project delivery and technical services
- Report to Head of Hybrid & Modern Workplace and work within the Hybrid Team
Requirements
- Must have valid driving licence and vehicle due to frequent travel
- Willingness to travel as part of the role
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver high quality work
- Analytical and pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Microsoft knowledge (Active Directory, Windows servers, user devices)
- Proficient in cloud and on-premises integration and hybrid infrastructure concepts
- Network cabling and switching
- Wireless access points
- Firewalls: Fortinet, SonicWall, Draytek, Watchguard
- SAN architecture and installation (Nimble, Dell, HP)
- NAS implementation
- Virtualization: Hyper-V and VMware
- Backups: Veeam install, upgrade and configuration
- Experience in disaster recovery and testing
- Strong documentation skills
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within an MSP or IT service environment
