About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions into production environments.
Drive the transformation of research concepts and prototypes into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software systems.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineers, fostering engineering best practices and continuous learning.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define AI-driven solutions aligned with customer and business needs.
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to guide technical strategy and innovation initiatives.
Oversee architecture decisions, system design, and technical roadmaps for AI-powered products and platforms.
Ensure code quality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and engineering standards.
Lead the evaluation and validation of prototype features and AI components to ensure functional and usability requirements are met.
Support production operations, monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of AI systems and services.
Contribute to the establishment and evolution of MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring.
Promote collaboration across cross-functional teams and help drive execution, prioritization, and delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or related technical roles.
Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in a collaborative environment.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern software engineering practices.
Solid understanding of machine learning frameworks, LLM ecosystems, and generative AI applications in production systems.
Experience designing scalable software architectures and distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and engineering best practices.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide teams through implementation.
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model monitoring, experimentation tracking, and infrastructure automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid mathematical foundation.
Experience building or scaling AI products in production environments.
Familiarity with data engineering pipelines and modern AI infrastructure.
Experience working in retail or customer-facing digital products.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to manage priorities, drive execution, and adapt in fast-paced environments.
