About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into Workday configurations
- Develop and execute test plans for payroll functionality, including regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Support payroll operations during implementation, parallel testing, and cutover activities
- Troubleshoot payroll issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as internal company policies
- Provide post-implementation support, system maintenance, and user training
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4+ years of Workday Payroll experience with hands-on configuration and implementation
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage/tax calculations, garnishments, and compliance requirements
- Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management is highly preferred
- Workday certification in Payroll required
