About the role
- Lead the end-to-end purchasing process, identifying opportunities to improve systems and workflows.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, fostering strategic partnerships to optimize forecasting, purchase orders (POs), and invoicing.
- Oversee all aspects of Purchase Order management, including creation, submission, follow-ups, updates, and closure.
- Plan and forecast material requirements using ERP/MRP systems, Min-Max tools, and other electronic planning tools to align with production schedules.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to support clinical and commercial manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate item master data in SAP, ensuring up-to-date records and compliance with internal standards.
- Prepare supplier performance scorecards and conduct regular review meetings with suppliers to communicate forecasts and production needs.
- Monitor supplier KPIs, escalating issues and recommending corrective actions to management.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing returns to vendors (RTVs) and resolving PO or invoice discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement, materials planning, or supply chain operations, ideally within biotech, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
