About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct material and polymer characterization using techniques such as FT‑IR, DSC, TGA, SEM, XRF, and microscopy
  • Support manufacturing and R&D teams by analyzing raw materials, compounds, and finished products to resolve technical issues
  • Develop and refine test methods, SOPs, and material evaluation procedures
  • Interpret data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to engineering, quality, and operations teams
  • Participate in plant trials, troubleshoot material‑related problems, and recommend improvements to formulations or processes
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensure data integrity, and uphold safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with internal customers across multiple plants and business units to support ongoing projects and long‑term development initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or Materials/Polymer Engineering
  • Hands‑on experience with material or polymer testing and characterization
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a lab and plant environment
  • Clear communication skills for reporting results and partnering with cross‑functional teams
  • 2+ years of industrial experience in materials, polymers, or related fields (preferred)
  • Experience with cable, wire, plastics, extrusion, or compounding environments (preferred)
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical tools (FT‑IR, DSC, TGA, SEM, DMA, XRF) (preferred)
