About the role
- Responsible for the product portfolio in the Rolling Stock & Railway Cable Systems segment
- Develop and implement product strategies taking into account technical trends, standards and customer requirements
- Manage the entire product lifecycle: market analysis, product definition, development, launch and maintenance
- Coordinate product development projects in collaboration with R&D, production and quality assurance
- Prepare technical product documentation and marketing materials
- Support the sales team with technical customer inquiries and tender processes
- Deliver product training for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor product quality and field performance and initiate improvement measures
- Conduct market, competitor and trend analyses in the rail and infrastructure technology sector
- Establish and maintain a structured market surveillance system
- Identify new market potentials, customer needs and technological developments
- Analyze regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., EN, IEC, ISO) relevant to the product strategy
- Prepare business cases to evaluate new product ideas and market segments
- Support the development of strategic roadmaps and innovation plans
- Work closely with Sales, Strategy, Product Development and external partners
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in product management or market analysis, ideally in the rail or cable industry
- Solid knowledge of requirements in rolling stock and railway infrastructure
- Experience working with standards, technical specifications and approval processes
- Analytical mindset, structured working style and strong communication skills
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
