About the role

  • Work on a small team (7-10 individuals) to help identify solutions that modernize the accounting close process for finance stakeholders
  • Tackle problems creatively, while being curious to comprehensively evaluate, propose and implement new solutions
  • Utilize flexible collaboration styles to build a cohesive team and maintain progress
  • Build partnerships with associates across finance, data science, technology, and the business
  • Help build consensus and influence key priorities that contribute to the larger vision and strategy
  • Demonstrate capacity to communicate complex and technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Evaluate demanding situations, understand the challenges, and take the necessary risks to meet key milestones including making project-level decisions that will be instrumental in keeping pace and setting the stage for future actions and taking responsibility for projects as if they were their own business

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of diversified experience in corporate finance (particularly an understanding of an accounting close), with a focus on transforming processes
  • Ability to ‘connect the dots’ between the core concepts of corporate finance, data, and tech forward tools
  • Problem solving skills including the ability to identify solutions and alternatives for high priority challenges
  • Ability to drive progress and navigate with tenacity
  • Excellent execution and business partnering skills, along with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success working on a cross-functional team that achieved long-term goals while managing short-term challenges
  • Willingness to learn innovative technologies and process re-engineering
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus
  • Experience with data querying, reporting, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus
