Serve as a liaison between IT development teams and business units to support new system implementations and enhancements
Provide support across multiple investment management business units
Gather and translate business requirements into actionable terms for systems and operations teams
Contribute to major infrastructure projects through business analysis and technical documentation
Provide production support and resolve issues, including during peak periods (overtime may be required)
Participate in all phases of the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Create and execute test plans to validate system functionality
Document software bugs and collaborate on solutions
Prepare communications and presentations on system enhancements and alternatives
Support cross-functional initiatives and take ownership of resolving production
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics and Information Technology (BAIT), Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, or Economics
A combination of business and technology studies is ideal
3–5 years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of business functions, workflows, and supporting systems
Some investment knowledge, particularly related to investment trades, transactions, activity, positions, and associated systems
Familiarity with systems design methodologies, testing tools, and the interfaces, applications, reconciliations, and workflows that support investment operations
Experience with SQL and related tools (e.g., Microsoft Query, Rapid SQL, DBeaver)
Knowledge of the software development life cycle; Agile experience is a plus
Exposure to business analysis, requirements gathering, software testing, and automation tools
Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and business insight
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, MS Project)
Experience with reporting platforms (e.g., Cognos) and API support is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
