About the role

  • Design, configure, and install (IT) hardware and software components
  • Build and maintain lab and test environments (Windows + Linux), including servers, clients, IP networks, and VMs (virtual machines)
  • Develop concepts for automated and manual configuration and installation of systems
  • Maintain and further develop existing systems, including adjustments and troubleshooting of hardware and software configurations
  • Set up and maintain toolchains/pipelines for CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)
  • Automate build and release processes along the CI/CD pipeline by creating scripts and programs

Requirements

  • Completed technical degree, e.g., in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Professional experience required, especially in software development
  • Profound knowledge of software and server hardware
  • Administrative knowledge of Windows and Linux systems (especially network configuration and firewalls)
  • Experience in software and build-pipeline development (e.g., C++, Python, Jenkins, Bamboo)
  • Command-line tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
  • Virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Proxmox, Podman)
  • Independent, efficient working style and creative approach
  • Willingness to engage with customers, e.g., during system installations
  • Very good German and English language skills.
