About the role
- Ensure the smooth operation of a development environment for servers, storage, clients, networking and user management — focus on MS Windows
- Automate configuration settings and deployments for servers and clients
- Implement IT security policies according to various requirements (e.g., BSI IT-Grundschutz)
- Automate updates for server and client configurations, deployments and administration for the test and integration environment
- Manage and verify backups
- Collaborate with IT service providers (internal and external)
Requirements
- Completed technical degree, e.g., in Computer Science or equivalent
- Required knowledge of IT infrastructure (operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, directory services (Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP), DNS, CI/CD)
- Desirable: virtualization with VMware, experience in IT security
- Scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Python for automation; familiarity with modern tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins
- Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills, team player, awareness of compliance and integrity
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to travel for business
